Chauvet DJ Launches BTAir, An App-Controlled Bluetooth Lighting System

Chauvet DJ has announced BTAir, a smartphone app for Android and iOS that lets you control BTAir-enabled Chauvet DJ lighting without the need for additional wires, a DMX mixer or a proprietary remote control.

With BTAir, you install the app on your phone or tablet, set the lights up, and use your phone to set and alter your light show on the fly.

This ought to appeal to DJs who want the flexibility and professionalism afforded by coordinated lighting, but who don’t want the complexity of a traditional wired DMX set-up (not to mention the learning curve).

BTAir is a free app, and currently works with Chauvet DJ’s SlimPAR T12 BT, SlimPAR Q12 BT and COLORband T3 BT lighting.
