Native Instruments just released the latest update to Traktor Pro 3. Now at version 3.2.0, it includes a variety of improvements that focus on creating a better harmonic / key mixing experience: the Elastique pitch / time-stretching engine has been updated so it sounds smoother even at wilder tempo and key changes, plus controls for pitching up or down of a track one semitone (half-step) at a time have been added. You can also see the resulting musical key when you press any of the key change controls.
We’ve already reviewed the new Traktor Kontrol S4 Mk3 and Traktor Kontrol S2 Mk3, controllers meant to take advantage of all the new features found in Traktor Pro 3. While it’s an incremental update, the tweaks will be welcome additions for DJs who like to perform harmonic mixes during their sets.
