The Ploytec Revival is a USB audio format converter designed to make legacy DJ mixers such as the Allen and Heath Xone:DB4, Xone:2D, and Xone:4D work once again with modern computers.

The problem is that current computers don’t work with old USB audio devices, so a converter is necessary.

Ploytec’s Revival, currently on Kickstarter, is a proven solution (they demoed it at Superbooth), and although it’s not quite ready yet, early backers can get a fully metal-cased unit for €350, or just the PCB for €189.

The company still needs to add additional sample rates, dynamic plug-and-play, and additional mixers as users ask for them. But for now, if you do have one of these Allen and Heath mixers knocking around, and you wish you could get the USB audio to work with your current computer, this looks like a great solution.
