Danish headphone company AIAIAI just launched its TMA-2 Places + Faces Edition headphones. They’re a new model created in tandem with streetwear blog Places + Faces (pronounced as “places plus faces”), and they feature custom speaker drivers emblazoned with the Places + Faces logo, along with noise isolating cups and a durable headband. The cans also ship with their own zippered headphone bag for storage and transport.
We’re fans of the look, sound, and build quality of the TMA-2 line. We haven’t tried this particular model yet so we can’t pass judgement, but if they’re anything like the TMA-2s, they’re going to be good (we’ve already reviewed the TMA-2s). One thing that may irk some DJs is that they ship with a straight cable, though you can easily order a coiled one from the AIAIAI site and swap it out yourself.
• The AIAIAI TMA-2 Places + Faces Edition headphones are available now for US$200. Check the AIAIAI site for more details.
