AIAIAI has just announced the TMA-2 Brain Dead modular headphones, a limited edition collaboration between the Danish company and Brain Dead, an LA-based creative collective. It features custom speaker drivers that are tuned to the specifications of the group along with ear cups designed by the artists themselves, and it comes with a cloth-covered cable, special packaging and even a cassette (you’ll need your own tape deck, though).
AIAIAI has been constantly working with artists, designers and record labels to come up with these special edition cans: so far we’ve seen a TMA-2 Places + Faces model and a TMA-2 Ed Banger edition that we’ve reviewed, along with the optional Blutooth headband for wireless connectivity.
• The TMA-2 Brain Dead limited edition headphones are priced at US$200 and will go on sale from 16 February. Check the AIAIAI site for more details.
