We spotted two hardware production devices on display at BPM|PRO 2016. The first is the Electribe EMX II, which is a synthesiser and a groove box that comes with 16 pads, knobs, and an XY touchpad, allowing you to create and save patterns on the device itself. The second is the Electribe ESX II, which is the sampler version, so instead of “synthesising” or creating sounds, you can manipulate the samples that are preloaded with the unit, or load your own for live performance. Both have USB connectivity for connecting to your laptop.
