Mixvibes just released the latest version of its Cross DJ app for Android. It brings compatibility with Pioneer’s DDJ-WeGO3 controller for the Pro version, along with the ability to customise deck colours for creating different combinations, a new single deck portrait view mode, and some design tweaks.
Cross DJ remains to be one of the more popular (and usable) Android DJ apps, and slotting the WeGO3 in its list of supported controllers is a welcome addition. With Android being available on such a large variety of phones, tablets, and phablets, the portrait view could be an interesting take on “two deck” mixing by hooking up two devices to a mixer, but then again if you’ve got a large tablet like the Galaxy Tab 10.1 you can do all that in one screen. Maybe four deck mixing with four Android devices? 😉
