Denon DJ has announced a new, lower price of £399 for its SC2900, a static platter media player with professional features. While this unit was released almost two years ago, it manages to remain a relevant, contemporary piece of DJ kit thanks to it having qualities similar to the de facto club standard the Pioneer CDJ-2000;it’s certainly comparable in quality.
The £399 price is absolutely mental given how much value and functionality you’re getting per quid.
Will this new price point entice you to give this CDJ alternative a go, considering that a pair of CDJ-2000s costs almost US$4,000 while a pair of SC2900s will only run you US$1,340? Or do you think it’s still not enough to keep Pioneer from holding court in many a DJs professional and home set-up? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
