Denon DJ updated its HP Series of headphones with three new models this week at DJ Expo 2015. Building on its previous HP500, HP700, and HP1000 models, the brand new HP600, HP800, and HP1100 headphones all come with swivel cups, 1/8″ jacks with 1/4″ adapters, and folding designs that make them easy to store and transport to and from gigs.
Headphones sometimes take a backseat to other DJ gear like controllers, headphones, and media players, but you can’t perform at your best if you can’t properly hear what you’re mixing. Sure, you can get by with a US$20 pair of cans, but a decent set of headphones can really open up your monitoring, especially where bass is concerned. It goes without saying that you’ll appreciate what you’re spinning more, too! We’ll let you know how nicely these perform when we’ve had some in for review.
• The Denon DJ HP Series will be available in the fourth quarter of 2015. The HP600 will retail for US$99, the HP800 for US$149, and the HP1100 at US$199.
