We’ve got hold of this picture, almost definitely genuine, which shows the rear panel of Denon’s new DJ controller.
The image was called “DN-MC3000_rear”, so we can pretty much assume that our previously guessed name for this unit is correct, and it’s also plain to see that this is the same device as that in our already leaked image.
It appears, then, from this new image, that the new controller will allow the addition of two external sources, although these are limited to line sources such as CD players rather than vinyl, due to the fact that there is no phono setting on the two sets of RCAs in the picture.
It is pleasing to see that the unit has balanced 1/4″ TRS outputs as well as RCAs, although there’s no booth control. Also the image confirms that it will accept a microphone, and external power if required – no surprises there.
We asked Denon, but they remained tight-lipped, apart from telling us that an official announcement is due in November. Watch this space…
