Algoriddim has announced a huge update to djay Pro Ai for Windows, a major rewrite which it says has been in development for several years.
Algoriddim told us: “We’ve basically redesigned and rebuilt the app from the ground up.
“Even though we had a (dated) version on the platform with basic features, it’s really a 1.0 for djay on Windows if you look at the features we added for the first time – ASIO support for low latency audio, Neural Mix, DVS, enhanced Midi, Beatport, UI consistency with Mac etc.”
How to try it
Algoriddim has just soft-launched the public beta. You can sign up for free access using the link below:

Note that while the beta is free to try, we expect the release software will come with a similar subscription fee as with the current Apple version.
First thoughts
This is big news for those Windows users who may have eyed the developments over on the Mac and iOS platforms jealously and wondered if their platform would ever get another update.
Even we concluded that probably Windows was always going to play second fiddle to Apple versions – but for now at least, it looks like Windows users can look forward to enjoying the same features that have made this software a favourite for many.

It will also be interesting to see if the real-time stems (aka “Neural Mix”) feature sounds better than on existing Apple versions of the software, because Algoriddim’s stems audio quality on those platforms has now fallen behind that of its competitors.
If you try this, please do share your thoughts in the comments.
