Laidback Luke and Digital DJ Tips founder Phil Morse joined forces at ADE, bringing five key lessons from Luke’s online DJ course to life in front of a packed crowd.
Hosted at the Mixmash Records pop-up store, the hour-long event saw Luke demonstrate the importance of improvisation, how to use cue points, reading a crowd and other lessons, taken directly from Laidback Luke’s Creative DJing course, which he released this year with Digital DJ Tips.
Many students of the course took the opportunity to come and meet Luke, and attendees were offered a chance to get the course at a special ADE rate. The event has led to talk of another, larger-scale live event to allow DJs to get more such tuition from Luke and the Digital DJ Tips crew – so watch this space!
ADE also saw Luke giving one-on-one DJ lessons to three lucky Digital DJ Tips competition winners, who also won a copy of the course and a free ADE pass.
