Loopmasters just announced an update to its Loopcloud cloud-based sample storage and management platform. The new version adds browser tag filters to help you zero-in on loops that meet criteria that you specify, such as genre, instrument type, and file format. It also brings the ability to pitch shift and and timestretch sounds, letting you modify them before you download and drop these sounds into your digital audio workstation.
We’ve already reviewed Loopcloud, and we think it’s a cool idea – if you’re a DJ/producer who has bought sounds from Loopmasters, you get access to your entire Loopmasters library without crowding your hard drive, for as long as you’ve got an internet connection. The interface can be overwhelming, though, so the browser tweaks in this update are a welcome addition.
