Loopmasters just announced an update to its Loopcloud cloud-based sample librarian plugin. Now at version 5.0, it brings two new interfaces to Loopcloud: Loopcloud Drum and Loopcloud Play. Loopcloud Drum features an MPC-style drum pad arrangement that lets you create kits using sample packs you’ve bought on Loopmasters. Loopcloud Play works the same way, but this time with other instruments, synths and samples from packs. Both have controls that let you manipulate the sample playback right in the plugin.
Loopcloud is an interesting concept: it basically gives you access to your entire Loopmasters sample library wherever you are long as you’ve got an internet connection to access your cloud locker. That means you don’t need to fill up valuable hard drive space on your laptop with entire sample packs – you can just pick the ones you want and use them when you need them. The last few iterations have made Loopcloud DAW integration even more intuitive, and these new Loopcloud Drum and Loopcloud Play interfaces make it even quicker to pick sonic elements for your production.
