The promising new Mixars Primo Serato DJ controller and equally appealing Mixars Quattro Serato DJ DVS mixer are both on show here at NAMM 2017 – as prototypes under glass. But we got a special private viewing of both units – and bring you two exclusive first look videos here.
Mixars Primo Video
The Primo feels nice “in person” – a solid aluminium top, rounded corners on both the unit and the RGB pads, and a compact size. It is a little like the now-defunct Vestax VCI-380. It offers lots of features and a great build quality in a smaller, two-deck controller.
Mixars Quattro Video
The Quattro has got a lot of the features you find on higher end Rane mixers for Serato DJ DVS use, including two USB sockets for seamless DJ switchovers, and a large number of RGB pads and other controls for Serato (including library browsing). It is also very well made.
Do you like the look of either or both of these units? Take a look and share your thoughts with us in the comments….
