Reloop has today announced the Mixtour Pro DJ controller, a follow-up to its Mixtour unit, for Algoriddim’s Djay Pro software.
This slimline modular controller now offers four decks of control as opposed to two on the original, and adds paddle effects, dedicated transport and performance pad buttons (as opposed to shared buttons), and improved build and audio quality.
Designed in close cooperation with our very own Laidback Luke, the unit is designed to be used as a complete minimal DJ solution, connected via its USB-C socket to an iPhone, iPad or laptop running Algoriddim’s Djay Pro software.
Laidback Luke fans will have seen him DJing with the original Mixtour and just his phone at club and festival sets of late, and many of the features in this new version are direct requests from Luke himself, including a special one-button loop control, a mono/stereo output selector, and various extra features like key change and deck nudge controls. The unit can also directly control real-time stems within Algoriddim’s software. It has RCA outputs for speakers, and 1/8″ TRS for headphones.
Note that there’s no built-in stand at the back of the unit for a phone or tablet, although Reloop has also launched a matching soft case for easy transport.
The unit goes on sale in summer 2024 at a price of £399 / €449 / €449. More info on the Reloop website.
