Reloop just launched the RP-7000MK2 direct-drive turntable. It’s got dual start / stop buttons for traditional and battle orientations, a switchable line / phono output with a built-in phono preamp, three platter speeds (33 1/3, 45, and 78RPM), forward / reverse platter modes, and a pitch fader that has three selectable pitch ranges: +/- 8%, +/- 16%, and +/- 50%. It also has a pitch fader “reset” button that sets the platter at the default speed regardless of the pitch fader’s position.
Reloop has put out some innovative turntables in the past: for instance, the RP-8000 is a Midi-enabled turntable that has assignable button controls onboard. The RP-7000MK2, on the other hand, is a barebones deck meant for straightforward DVS and vinyl use. As the name suggests, it’s an update to Reloop’s RP-7000, which is a good value turntable at a decent price.
