Mixvibes just announced an update to Remixvideo that includes Windows compatibility. Formerly a Mac-only app, Remixvideo is basically the VJ version of Remixlive. It allows you to easily match music and visuals using video loops.
The update is also compatible with touchscreen computers and Spout support has been added, alongside Audio Live Input, which analyses the BPM, waveform and frequency of external audio sources. As a result, Remixvideo can now be easily paired to almost any set-up.
In our review, we concluded that Mixvibes had done a quality job with Remixvideo by making it easy-to-use, whilst retaining professional functionality: we liked it because it was an approachable app for VJing. However, its US$99 price tag might be steep enough to put some people off.
