We’ve been using DJ TechTools cables for years, and we can recommend them – they’re well made, brightly coloured so you can match them to your gear, and cheaper than other “premium” cables from rival brands. Plus, some types are simply hard to find in other places, such as the USB-C to USB-B cables. Recommended.

First Impressions / Setting up
Let’s cut to the chase – there’s not much you can say about cables. We all need them, the ones that come with our gear are usually cheap rubbish, and so at some point we’re going to want to buy replacements. That’s when you’ll start coming across good cables, but for silly money – which is where DJ TechTools can potentially help you out.
Their cables are reasonably priced, but – whether you go for the audio or the computer ones – they are also good quality, robust, and – dare I say it – fun. That’s because you can get them in all kinds of colours. They come with little Velcro fasteners too, to make them easier to tidy away neatly.
In Use
Again, what is there to say? They’re sturdily built with firmly moulded plugs, they fit snugly, and, well, they work. I do not buy into the idea of £250/metre hi-fi cables (look in the ads in any audiophile magazine and you’ll see loads of them), but at the same time I believe we can do better than cheap “bell wire” type cables, of the type that come with gear, or that you can buy for a couple of dollars in a multipack on Amazon.
The DJ TechTools cables are that happy middle ground. They inspire confidence from the beginning, and live up to that impression – something we can vouch for as we have been using them for many years here at Digital DJ Tips.
We tested the RCAs and the USB-B to USB-C, but they also do various adaptor cables, and TRS, too, all of which we’ve used in the past. They’ve not let us down yet. As an improvement, the company has made the RCA connectors on its audio cables different colours, so they’re easier to wire up correctly in dark booths.

Conclusion
If it’s time to replace your cables, these are a good and reasonably priced choice.
More importantly, if you’re looking for a USB-B (DJ controller) to USB-C (computer) cable, because you have a newer computer (or iPad) that needs USB-C, the DJ TechTools cables are excellent – we’ve found this type of cable surprisingly hard to buy, and when we could find them, they were poor quality.
The DJ TechTools ones rock, though – and so for that alone, we recommend you check them out.
