NI makes a decisive move into pure controller territory with the Maschine Jam. Eight touch-sensitive Smart Strips allow you to intuitively edit and perform almost any musical task. The Smart Strips also let you control multiple parameters at once using macros and effects on the fly. The Jam differs from other Maschines with its ability to sequence multiple sounds at the same time directly from the hardware. On the flip side, it lacks the ability to edit software samples. But with tons of bundled content and expandability via Midi Mode, the Jam offers a new, creative and accessible way to work with Maschine.
