You’ll meet the Playlist Pyramid, a tool I use to teach this process, we’ll cover methods for hearing more music than everyone else, and ways of capturing song titles and artists so it all becomes second nature. I’ll give you a solid framework for how to make a shortlist of music you may want to buy, and talk you through the mechanics of actually getting it into your digital collection. I’ll help you to make sense of all those music files by properly organising and tagging them, and show you how to use artwork to bring them to life in your software. We’ll discuss using music library software, and finally getting your carefully chosen tunes into your DJ program and ready to DJ with.
