Serato Marks 25th Birthday With Limited Vinyl Release

Serato is celebrating 25 years in the DJ and music production game with a special limited-edition reissue of the original control vinyl from Serato Scratch Live, the software that completely changed the game for so many DJs following its initial 2004 launch.

The “Serato Scratch Live Control Vinyl – 25th Anniversary Edition” features a pair of 12” 140g control vinyl, encased in a commemorative 25th-anniversary jacket. The reissue consists of five classic colours including black, transparent red, transparent blue, orange, and grey marble. Additionally, Serato promises that coloured vinyl purchasers will receive a special surprise when they unwrap their packages.

Of course, digital vinyl systems such as Serato Scratch Live completely transformed the way DJs performed in the early 2000s, fusing digital and analogue by allowing DJs to access and perform with their digital music collection on existing gear, with DJs like our very own DJ Jazzy Jeff being enthusiastic adopters, all of which makes this a fitting promotion to celebrate Serato’s birthday.
