Got a motorised DJ controller? Using the somewhat offbeat Skratch Attach turntable arms and accompanying software, you can add exactly that functionality to a number of current motorised DJ controllers, giving you the ability to use these devices’ high-torque motors and various-sized platters to play real records.
The product is a labour of love from a company called Retro Bionic, who saw Biz Markie’s 7″ Technics and wanted to make a similar solution available to more DJs.

With the company’s Skratch Attach software and tonearms, you can currently add the ability to play real records to Rane Twelves, the Rane One, and now the the Hercules T7, the latter being particularly interesting, as it is probably cheaper than any turntables for the same task of spinning 7″ singles.
