For their “Summer of Sound”, Native Instruments has dropped the price of its Traktor Pro 3 software by 50% (down to just €59), and has also lowered the cost of its Traktor X1 modular controller, the latter now being €229 instead of its usual €299.
The Traktor X1 is particularly good value because it comes with the Traktor Pro 3 software as well. (As do the other Traktor controllers, but they aren’t in the summer sale.)
Er, Traktor?
Yeah! While Traktor has fallen somewhat from the mainstream among our audience, it still has a smaller but fervent following who prefer it for its audio quality, its tight looping, and its flexibility in mapping.
Especially if you’re strictly an electronic music DJ, and you like to produce your own music, Traktor offers a viable option against some of the bigger DJ platforms out there.

We’ve actually had a Traktor X1 in the studio since its recent launch, and I’ve had quite a lot of fun messing around with it, so we’re planning on adding some Traktor content to the site over the summer. Meanwhile, if you’re interested in one, now looks like a good time to snag it on the Native Instruments website.
